The Bayou Mosquitos play music from the south of the United States, in particular the cultural treasures of Louisiana and Texas where the accordeon plays an important role. Rhythm & blues, cajun, zydeco and tex mex music are the ingredients to the musical 'gumbo' of the group. Songs by Fats Domino, Queen Ida, Lee Dorsey, The Hawketts, Daniel Lanois, Creedence Clearwater Revival, 'Don' Santiago and Flaco Jimenez are treated in a (semi-) acoustic way. These four musical compadres add that special touch to every swamp classic.
